Eichiefs9 Super funny! I love your comment. Lol. Also quite clever. No surprise In the Isles getting Into the playoffs, They have a really good team and the best hockey coach on earth. |

I'll take the pens as they have the least ability to play a physical series and I think theor game shuts down in the tight checking playoffs. Caps and bruins can handle the physicality |

I’m guessing Washington fans were the ones voting for that matchup. - Wildschwein
Any of them will be a tough matchup. |

In the last 7 Isles games the Islanders shut out the other team 4 times (athough one of those they lost in shoot out).. Allowed 1 goal twice .. And had 1 bad game where they allowed caps to score 6. Bottom line is if they play that type of hockey in playoffs they have a very good chance of making a deep run. |

When the regular season ends the islanders with practice time need to work on the pp. If the Islanders pp gets going in the playoffs they will win the cup. If the pp is not good they will not get out of the first round. |

If we can do as well as we should in these next 5 games against mainly subpar teams it will help confidence levels going into the playoffs too. I don't love that Boston game as a final one.. but the next 4 we should be able to get some wins and points u would hope.. and that will help with going in on high note.. and possibly garnering Home ice which is going to be big too... |

I never like those polls. I would rather say who I don't want to play.. and right now Washington seems to be our Kryptonite.
We have done well against Boston this year but they added 2 great pieces at deadline and look much better b/c of it. Mike Reilly was a big pick up for them too as it improves their D. Even Adding Lazar makes their 4th line better.. they did well.

Congrats on clinching a playoff spot!
Lord knows you guys suffered a long time with struggling teams. Besides liking the Devils -Islander connections it’s good to see some real turnover in the league.
Ovi, Crosby, Marchand (and several more players on their teams) are great, but I won’t feel bad when the window closes on the Caps, Penguins and Bruins.
Good luck! |

It's probably better that the last game is against a playoff team. I'd rather not go into the playoffs having speedbagged the Rangers twice and playing the two worst teams in the league 4x straight. They could use a good test right before it all starts. |

For what it’s worth, Michael Houser is the first goalie off the ice at the Sabres’ morning skate.

Michael Houser is 28 years old and has been primarily an ECHL goalie for the last 6 years. He could start tonight against the #Isles.
And this is exactly why I'm happy to play a quality team right before the playoffs start. I'd prefer two games against one, honestly...but at least there's one. |

I agree.
And I would just add that, if the Isles think they can glide around tonight because it's the Sabres and they are starting an ECHL goalie, they will end up with an embarrassing loss. |

I don't think they will, but I just don't want them to get a little lazy because they're significantly better than BUF/NJD.
A game, even if it's a loss, against BOS on the last day of the season is going to be very beneficial for them. |

If history is any indication.. this kid will stand on his head tonight against the Islanders.
